Want to put the shaving ritual to bed? Many people are doing just that, saying goodbye to razors, waxing, depilatories, and tweezers.  Laser hair removal is one the hottest ways to remain hair free.

1. Tanning and laser hair removal do not pair well together. True, different types of lasers effectively treat various skin types, thanks to advancing technology. But with a sun-kissed tan, the laser light struggles to find the darker hair follicles against the darker skin.

2. What the hardest thing part about getting a Brazilian laser treatment? Asking for one. Let’s face it, some people have no issue asking for, say a three karat diamond engagement ring. But with a Brazilian, well, that’s personal.  Work up some courage and just ask.

3. How many treatments will it take? Depending on the amount of hair to remove, it could take about six treatments. Sometimes less and sometimes more.

4. Not just for women anymore. Manscaping or males removing body hair is catching on in testosterone circles. Some men do it to appear sexier, while others want a groomed look. Think unibrow. Common man-parts include eyebrows, chest and back. For women, underarms, the bikini line and legs. No body part is off limits.

5. During the procedure it feels like a rubber band snapping on the skin. Afterwards, the discomfort is mildly irritating, but no worse than a sunburn.
